This week, Hyundai has announced pricing for the 2017 Elantra Sport. The model will begin at $22,485 for the six-speed manual and $23,585 for the dual-clutch automatic. Prices include a $835 destination charge.

For that price, the Sport brings a turbocharged 1.6L four-cylinder with 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. In addition, the Sport comes with revised spring and damper rates, a multi-link setup in the rear, improved steering, and larger brakes. The interior features a set of sport seats and a flat bottom steering wheel.

If you want some more creature comforts, you can order the Premium Package. Adding $2,400 to the price, the package adds dual automatic temperature control with auto defogger, an eight-inch screen with navigation, eight-speaker Infinity premium audio system with Clari-Fi Music restoration technology, blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane change assist, and BlueLink telematics.

“With Elantra Sport, we deliver a relentlessly fun daily driver that offers unprecedented performance for the Elantra nameplate. Just as importantly, Sport continues Elantra’s superb value story by offering a compelling mix of standard and available equipment at pricing that undercuts rival sport sedans in its category. With Elantra Sport’s arrival, we are able to offer an Elantra for every type of driving personality," said Mike Evanoff, product manager for the Elantra lineup.
