That is the case for the 2017 Audi A6 and A7 as they'll come with the option of a new Competition Package. Available only on models equipped with the supercharged 3.0L V6, the package boost power from 333 to 340. The Competition Package also brings 20-inch wheels and red brake calipers for both models. The A6 gets some additional goodies such as a rear sport differential that was previously only offered on the S6; a set of S sport leather seats and a flat-bottom steering wheel. Pricing for the Competition models start at $68,550 for the A6 and $77,500 for the A7.

News on the Audi Performance side

2017 will see Audi introduce the RS 7 Performance to the U.S. This version boosts the power of the twin-turbo 4.0L V8 from 560 to 605 horsepower. Audi says the Performance is about 0.2 seconds faster than the standard RS 7 to 62 mph (3.7 vs. 3.9 seconds). The power increase does come at a premium with a price tag of $130,450 - about $18,800 more than the standard RS 7.

If you like the idea of RS 7 Performance, but wished it came in sedan, Audi has you covered there. The S8 Plus features the same 605 horsepower twin-turbo 4.0L V8. It is slightly cheaper than the RS 7 Performance with a base price of $116,850.
