Imagine taking some of the bits of the Range Rover Sport SVR and Range Rover SVAutobiography, and dropping them into a standard Range Rover. What might you end up with?

Land Rover has decided to answer this question with the 2017 Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic.

The Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic takes the engine and luxuries found in the SVAutobiography and the suspension from the Sport SVR. Starting with a standard-wheelbase version of the Range Rover, the supercharged 5.0L V8 from the SVR and SVAutobiography is dropped in. The V8 produces 550 horsepower and 502 pound-feet of torque. Fun fact, the SVAutobiography Dynamic is only a half second slower than the SVR to 60 mph (5.1 vs. 4.6 seconds).

The suspension features active anti-sway bars and adaptive dampers to improve handling. A set Brembo brakes help bring the Dynamic to a stop. You have the choice of either 21 or 22-inch aluminum wheels.

Moving inside, the SVAutobiography Dynamic features diamond-quilted leather seats with four choices of contrast stitching. The front seats also boast 20-way power adjustments. There is also a wide range of color and veneer trim choices, and various metal pieces come with a knurled finished.

How much for this extravagance? The base price is $171,990 (includes a $995 destination charge).

Other Changes for 2017 Range Rover Lineup

Land Rover hasn't forgotten about the rest of the Range Rover family for 2017. The big news is the latest generation of InControl Touch Pro infotainment system becoming standard on all models. Range Rover models will also be safer for 2017 with rear park alert, lane departure warning, and autonomous emergency braking as standard equipment. Optional are adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, and traffic sign recognition systems.

Pricing for the 2017 Range Rover starts at $86,645.
