Why these 2 Subaru models are traveling in very different directions

The 2016 Subaru WRX/STI is scolding hot and the Subaru BRZ is ice cold. Why are these 2 Subaru models traveling in very different directions?

Subaru dealers can’t get enough 2016 WRX/STI performance sedans to sell and dealers can’t sell many BRZ sports coupes. Why are Subaru’s sporty models traveling in different directions? The Subaru WRX/STI performance sedans are leading the brand in percentage of sales increase with a 41 percent clip over last year’s sales. The Subaru BRZ sports coupe is down 32.5 percent from last year and continues to slide backward.

The Subaru brand is setting new records every month and WRX/STI is helping create sales momentum as is the Forester, Outback, Crosstrek and Impreza. The BRZ is the only model that has negative sales each month this year. The BRZ needs an update in power and performance and the coupe is scheduled to get upgrades soon as Subaru Tecnica International (STI) is working on new performance upgrades.

The 2016 Subaru WRX/STI performance sedans are scolding hot and underwent a complete remodel in 2015 with new exterior styling, suspension and engine upgrades for the fourth-generation model. Performance fans around the globe have been snatching up the sedans as fast as Fuji Heavy can produce them. Subaru now needs to give fans a new upgraded BRZ to keep it fresh and exciting as it’s become cold and stale from sitting on the shelf.
