Why Subaru needs to build this luxury WRX STI S207 SporVita: Gallery

Subaru needs a 328hp WRX STI S207 with the luxury cabin from the Subaru WRX S4 SporVita. Will Subaru ever build one?

Imagine a 328hp Subaru WRX STI S207 with a SporVita luxury interior. Subaru unveiled a higher-performance limited edition WRX STI S207 this week and also a WRX S4 SporVita at the Tokyo Motor Show. What they need to do is combine the two cars and come up with the special edition luxury Subaru WRX STI S207 SporVita.

This special edition high-performance WRX STI would get the S207’s high-output balanced 2.0-liter turbo engine with Subaru Tecnica International (STI) internals tuned to get a maximum power output to 328 PS (323hp). It would also get the suspension upgrades to give it the best driving dynamics of any STI ever built.

The cabin would be get the luxury interior from Italian leather maker Mario Levi like the WRX S4 SporVita revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show this week. Up until now, you could get leather in the WRX STI and WRX performance sedans, but this would take the STI’s interior to a new level of luxury.

Combine these two cars and you have a special STI with the ultimate performance and luxury cabin for the more discerning buyer. Performance enthusiasts would be willing to pay more for this luxury STI sedan. Subaru needs to make the special edition WRX STI S207 SporVita available in North America, Australia and Europe for performance fans around the globe, not just for the Japan market like the exclusive S207 revealed in Tokyo.

Like the WRX S4 SporVita, it would also get unique trim and instrument panel with special effects to step up the luxury feel combined with the expensive Mario Levi leather. How hard would it be for Subaru to do this? Just put the S4’s luxury interior from Italian leather maker Mario Levi into the WRX STI S207 and they would have a limited edition 328hp WRX STI S207 SporVita for performance enthusiasts. There would be many performance fans around the globe lining up to buy the limited edition STI.
