Three things that set 2015 Subaru Forester apart from the crowd

The new 2015 Subaru Forester interactive online brochure goes live and you can see it here. Three things set Forester apart.

Not all small SUVs are created equal and here are three things that set the 2015 Subaru Forester apart from the rest. The 2015 Forester has made its dealer launch, now the compact SUV gets its own digital online interactive brochure. There are more, but here are three things that set 2015 Subaru Forester apart from the crowd along with customer testimonials.

A beast in the snow

Subaru doesn’t adapt AWD components to a front- or rear-wheel drive vehicle, they develop all their multi-use vehicles around Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. Many automakers do adapt their AWD system to fit a front-drive configuration and thus they function passively, transferring torque away from the main drive wheels only when they slip. The competition equipped with such systems essentially operate in two-wheel drive when there is no slippage. They can be better than front-drive car, but don’t provide the “full-time” benefits and road handling ability that a true full-time All-Wheel Drive system like Subaru’s does.

Here is Sara V from Dorr, Michigan and what she says, My Forester is a beast in the snow. She can go through anything, even if I don’t clear the driveway for a few days. Out of the roads I feel safe and I even call her Lil Beast because she goes through anything, and still gets spectacular mileage. 28-30 highway is the norm.”

An SUV for dog lovers

Subaru is stepping up in a big way and actually helps fund the research that will go into testing of pet car safety restraints. They partner with The Center for Pet Safety that is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit research and advocacy organization dedicated to companion animal and consumer safety. Currently, there are no performance standards or test protocols in the U.S. for pet travel products. But Subaru and The Center for Pet Safety plan on changing that.

Here’s Linda M from Henrico, VA. “I love my Forester, my dogs love my Forester. I volunteer with the local ASPCA and I am so pleased that Subaru is supporting animal adoption. I love animals and I love their dog commercials. There is no other car that I trust and would drive other than a Subaru.”

Will get you away from civilization

The new 2014 Forester is a global vehicle and X Mode will allow owners in North America, Europe, Eurasia and Australia to go through some extreme conditions and have some extreme fun. With a flip of a switch, X Mode is available and the fun begins. On typical SUVs, torque is not distributed evenly to all four wheels and one or more wheels can begin to slip and the vehicle can lose traction and get stuck in the snow or mud. But 2015 Forester’s X Mode will allow any driver regardless of skill level, to escape any extreme situation they may encounter.

Here’s Jeff L from Silver Springs MD, “Our Forester is proving to be at home on narrow city streets. busy highways and twisty mountain lanes. But its favorite is back roads! Having made several trips home to Canada, our Forester takes the stress out of winter road conditions. This Subie just screams road trip!”
