Subaru teases Impreza Sedan Concept ahead of LA Auto Show

Subaru brought the Impreza 5-Door concept hatchback to Tokyo, they will bring the new Impreza sedan concept to LA. Will the 2017 Impreza look like the show car?

Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI), the maker of Subaru automobiles, today announced that the new Impreza Sedan Concept will make its global debut at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show. The newest Impreza will be revealed on November 18 at the press day. The LA Auto Show is open to the public from November 20-29, 2015.

Subaru unveiled the new Impreza 5-Door hatchback at the Tokyo Motor Show and will bring the new Impreza sedan to LA to make its world debut. The Impreza is the next new car from Subaru and will be the first to receive the new Subaru global platform coming to all Subaru models.

Subaru will shift manufacturing of the compact car from Japan to the U.S. beginning with the 2017 Impreza to its North American plant in Indiana. The 2017 Impreza hatchback and sedan will make their dealer launch shortly after production begins in late 2016.

Don’t expect the new compact Impreza sedan from Subaru to look anything like the concept car that will be revealed in LA. It’s the forerunner of the new 2017 Impreza sedan, but likely won’t look anything like the car revealed in LA. The Impreza Sedan Concept will be unveiled at the press conference on November 18 at the Subaru booth following a speech by FHI President & CEO, Yasuyuki Yoshinaga. Stay tuned.
