Watch the World’s Fastest Subaru Rally Crosstrek; Can it Beat the Iconic WRX STI?

Pro Biker and rally car racer, Brandon Semenuk, is trading in his Subaru WRX STI rally car for a Subaru Rally Crosstrek. He gives a sneak peak of the new black and red Crosstrek as he drives the new rally car hard in the dirt. The professional mountain bike freestyler and rally driver, teamed up with Subaru Canada and produced a short video below to show off the new rally crossover.

Semenuk a Canadian from Whistler, British Columbia, also owns a Subaru WRX STI rally car, so he knows a little bit about pushing hard and what an all-wheel-drive STI will do in the rally stages. Now he takes his skills and will put them to the test in his new Rally Crosstrek with a competition platform in the Canadian Rally Championship this season. His Crosstrek was built and designed by Rocket Rally Racing, located in Squamish B.C., Canada.

Semenuk, who has a number of Pro Bike awards has also been on the podium with his Subaru WRX STI. He claimed his first ever national podium finishing in second place at Rally of the Tall Pines in Bancroft, ON, Canada. He likes the Crosstrek and also owns a Hyper Blue model he uses as his daily driver when he’s not racing.

We aren’t sure what’s under the hood, or if this is a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek with the new Subaru Global Platform, but the Boxer-powered crossover sounds good as Brandon Semenuk pushes it hard in the dirt. Now he will take his new Rally Crosstrek with the competition platform and pit it against the iconic WRX STI. Stay tuned to TorqueNews for future updates.
