2014 Mercedes CLA45 AMG blisters the streets of Paris

Paris is known as the city of love and that’s why they want to visit the French city. Mercedes-AMG took the new CLA45 AMG to Paris because of their passion for high-performance. The CLA45 AMG is a great expression of performance as it has the most powerful production four-cylinder engine in existence. Mercedes-AMG created the luxury compact muscle car in Affalterbach, Germany and took it the the French capital for a video shoot.

They shot the CLA45 AMG in and around the beautiful city and caught the new luxury compact four-door coupe in a great location. The CLA45 AMG was moving fast on the streets of Paris during the video shoot. Mercedes-AMG just revealed last week, the four-door coupe is faster than originally expected.

Mercedes-AMG said the new CLA muscle car will launch from 0-60 mph is just 4.4 seconds, beating preliminary estimates. It’s just one tenth of a second faster than the 4.5 second sprint time estimate, but when it comes to performance, that’s a big deal. It also has an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph. The Paris streets will never be the same after the CLA45 AMG had its visit.

Paris will get to see some exciting new performance technology. The small displacement 2.0-liter AMG hand-built engine acts much bigger than anyone would expect. It features a twin-scroll turbocharger, an AMG performance exhaust system, and a high-performance cooling system. The 2.0-liter engine comes mated to an AMG Speedshift DCT seven-speed sports automatic that transfers the power to all four-wheels.

The all-new 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG offers driving performance in a new mid-range compact segment at its very best. Motor Authority just listed the CLA45 AMG as a top luxury-performance “Best Car to Buy” for the 2014 model year. This writer would have to agree. Priced at $47,450 USD, it’s one of the best performance cars in that price range to hit the market in 2014.

The performance CLA45 AMG will also feature a new variant of the 4MATIC. For the Paris performance enthusiast, it doesn't get any better than this. The new 2014 CLA45 AMG comes equipped with an AMG four-cylinder engine that pumps out 355 hp and 332 lb.-ft. of torque. The CLA establishes a new segment for the German automaker and they expect to attract a new generation of performance enthusiasts with the car. The AMG power and torque give the CLA45 AMG superb driving performance. That will excite even the most ardent performance fan in Paris.

The new four-door coupe will see the first U.S. deliveries beginning November 2013. Mercedes should attract a new generation of performance buyers in Paris and around the globe with the new 2014 CLA45 AMG.
