It’s the Same Story for Subaru; Outback and Forester Are Smokin' Hot

It's getting to be the same thing every month with Subaru. The 2017 Subaru Outback and Forester are on fire. What new records did they set?

Even though it’s the same story month after month, Subaru is certainly doing something extraordinary as their all-wheel-drive vehicles are on fire. In January they hit another sales record month, and the 2017 Outback and Forester lead the way. Subaru of America (SOA) is on fire and the rest of the auto industry in on notice. It’s not going to stop anytime soon. Here’s how Subaru starts 2017.

SOA had a another record in January with a 6.8 percent increase over January 2016. Now they have 62 consecutive months of yearly month-over-month growth, and it was the best January ever for the SUV-alternative Outback wagon and the small Forester SUV. Both vehicles are on fire, and Subaru executives are giddy with excitement.

2016 was the eighth consecutive year of sales records for SOA, and their ninth consecutive year of sales increases. Last year, Subaru of America eclipsed 600,000 units in the U.S., and this year they expect to grow another 9 percent putting them at the 670,000 mark in total sales. No other automaker is growing faster and the success story continues to impress.

The new 2017 Subaru Impreza sedan and 5-Door compacts have already hit dealer showrooms and are already boosting sales. The all-new 2018 Subaru Crosstrek crossover will be unveiled in Geneva in March, and it will contribute to the success story later this year. For now, it’s the 2017 Subaru Outback and 2017 Forester leading the way, but there’s more to come from the tiny Japanese automaker. Stay tuned.
