2015 Nissan 370Z To Be Safety Car at Austin Circuit of the Americas

The CTSCC race on September 19 will feature a specially-wrapped 2015 370Z as the official Safety Car for the speedway.

Next week's Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge (CTSCC) in Austin will be on the new Circuit of the Americas track and will feature the 2015 Nissan 370Z NISMO, in special wrappings, as the official Safety Car for the race.

Nissan is an official partner of the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) which is the sanctioning body for the CTSCC and TUDOR United SportsCar Championship circuit. Several Nissan vehicles compete in the 2014 season.

These cars include two Altima 3.5 racers, which will be on the field Friday, and two Nissan 370Z NISMO racers, which will also take to the track on the Circuit of the Americas Friday. The race itself will be aired live on IMSA.com on Friday at 1:20 pm Eastern Time. A replay will be had on Fox Sports 1 on September 28 at noon Eastern.

SportsCar racing is some of the highest-octane, fast-paced GT-style racing there is. Multiple vehicles take the field and vie for highly-contested placement and times as they battle it out around corners, elevation changes, and curves. The TUDOR sport has been a very popular racing challenge in Europe, Australia, and South America and is now getting much more attention in the United States.

The specially-wrapped 2015 Nissan 370Z NISMO Safety Car will be a highlight of next week's event.
