The Ram 1500 Stinger is a Sporty Yellow Rose for Everyone

Last month, the Chrysler Group introduced the Ram 1500 Yellow Rose of Texas Edition which is – not surprisingly – only available in the Lone Star State, but after receiving a great deal of interest from other markets, the automaker has introduced the new Stinger Edition Ram 1500 for buyers in the other 49 states.

Texas is one of the most important markets for truck sales, so it came as no surprise when it was announced that the Ram brand had rolled out the Yellow Rose of Texas Edition, which is based on the Ram 1500 Lone Star trimline. The Lone Star is only available in Texas so the Yellow Rose of Texas was only available in Texas, and while you can configure a new Ram 1500 in Detonator Yellow, School Bus Yellow, Yellow and National Safety Yellow, the Chrysler Group has received enough interest from the other 49 states in a limited edition yellow-themed package that they have come up with one – the new Ram 1500 Stinger Yellow Sport.

“The Ram 1500 Sport offers unique features for customers who enjoy aggressive styling and great performance,” said Mike Manley – Head of Ram Truck Brand, FCA Global. “Truck buyers are very attached to their vehicles and the Stinger Yellow Sport model adds a custom appearance to the segment’s best-looking truck.”

The Ram 1500 Stinger Yellow Sport
As you can see in the image above, the key feature of the Ram 1500 Stinger Yellow Sport is – of course – the bright yellow exterior paint. This truck is based on the Ram 1500 Sport, meaning that the 5.7L Hemi and an 8-speed automatic transmission are standard, but buyers can pick from rear wheel drive or four wheel drive. Other standard features of this package include the ram air style power bulge hood, dual exhaust with chrome tips and 22 inch wheels on rear-drive models (20 inch wheels on 4WD models). A Set of black stripes on the hood are paired with black headlight bezels and black accents from front to rear.

On the inside, the Ram 1500 Stinger Yellow Sport is blacked out with yellow details scattered throughout. The black leather seats have the Ram logo embroidered on the headrest and yellow sport mesh inserts in the center of the seats. Also, in addition to the black and yellow interior, this eye-catching half ton has the premium Chrysler UConnect system with the 8.4 inch touchscreen.

The Ram 1500 Stinger Yellow Sport will begin hitting dealerships in this month and when they do, they will have an MSRP of $43,145 plus destination fees. Technically, per the RamTrucks website, the Stinger Yellow Sport package has an MSRP of $2,995 on top of the price of the Ram 1500 Sport Crew Cab, so the package is fairly inexpensive, but it is also fairly limited. Only 2,250 examples of the Ram 1500 Stinger Yellow Sport will be built.
