Official pricing for the 2013 Ford Fusion comes online starting at $22,495

Although Ford Motor Company offered up a build page for the 2013 Ford Fusion months ago with preliminary pricing – the company has now added a full blown configuration page complete with official pricing and the best news is that none of the trimlines have increased in price from what Ford first announced back in May.

The base model 2013 Ford Fusion S with a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine, front wheel drive and a 6-speed automatic transmission carries an official starting price of $22,495 including the $795 destination fee. This package includes some impressive features for the class like 8 standard airbags, remote keyless entry and automatic headlights.

The 2013 Ford Fusion SE starts at the same $24,495 that was listed in the preliminary figures when equipped with the 2.5L 4-cylinder engine, 6-speed automatic transmission and front wheel drive. Whether the 2013 Fusion is equipped with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission, those models equipped with the 1.6L EcoBoost engine and front wheel drive starts at $25,290. Finally, the Fusion SE with the 2.0L EcoBoost engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission and front wheel drive starts at $26,745.

The 2013 Ford Fusion Titanium is available only with the 2.0L EcoBoost engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission with the front wheel drive models starting at $30,995 while all wheel drive models begin at $32,995. The Fusion Titanium doesn’t come with any available option packages but it does have an available moon roof ($895), 19” dark stainless aluminum wheels, a driver’s assist package ($1,000), Active Park Assist ($795), Adaptive Cruise Control ($995), Voice Activated Navigation ($795) and other things like floormats and a trunk net.

Finally, the 47 mile per gallon 2013 Ford Fusion SE Hybrid (shown above) starts at $27,995. This package includes the 2.0L Atkinson 4-cylinder mated to an electronically-assisted continuously variable transmission (eCVT) and front wheel drive along with all of the interior amenities of the non-hybrid Fusion SE sedans. Just as the preliminary prices suggested, the Hybrid Luxury Package (505A) adds leather and heated front seats with 10 way driver’s side control and 2 way passenger control, a leather wrapped steering wheel, a leather wrapped shift knob, auto dimming exterior mirrors and fog lamps for just $2,000. Those who want just a little more luxury in their 2013 Fusion SE Hybrid can opt for the equipment group 504A package which adds 18” aluminum wheels, a rear deck lid spoiler, a leather wrapped steering wheel, and fog lights for $1,000.

The one bit of bad news for perspective 2013 Ford Fusion buyers is that the SE Luxury Package costs $2,300 where adding leather and the other luxury features in the preliminary pricing tables was set to cost just $1,505 or $1,545 depending on which EcoBoost engine was chosen. Those who opt for the 1.6L EcoBoost-powered 2013 Fusion SE can opt for Appearance Group 204A which adds 18” aluminum wheels, a rear deck lid spoiler, a leather wrapped steering wheel, and fog lights for $1,250. Automatic start/stop is available on the new Fusion fitted with the 1.6L EcoBoost and the 6-speed automatic transmission for just $295. Items like the Driver’s Assistance Package and the SE Technology Package stay at $1,000.

All Loaded Up
Overall, a fully loaded 2013 Ford Fusion Titanium with all wheel drive, a moon roof, 19” wheels, Ruby Red paint (+$395), Driver’s Assist Package, Active Park Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control and Voice Activated Navigation rounds out at $38,565. A fully loaded Fusion SE with the 2.0L EcoBoost, the Luxury Group, Ruby Red paint, a moon roof, premium 18” wheels, the Driver’s Assist Package, the SE Technology Package, Active Park Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Voice Activated Navigation and a remote start system carries a price of $34,805. Finally, a fully loaded 2013 Ford Fusion SE Hybrid with the Luxury Group package and all of the similar features of the SE non-Hybrid mentioned above has a price of $36,010.

For comparison, the 2013 Toyota Camry Hybrid XLE all loaded up carries a price of $35,114 with similar amenities so the new Fusion Hybrid is $896 more than the comparable Camry Hybrid. However, for less than $900, the Fusion Hybrid buyer gets a fairly substantial advantage in fuel economy. The Camry Hybrid offers 40mpg around town and combined with 38mpg on the highway while the Fusion Hybrid offers 47mpg across the board.
