Ford teases the F Series pickups coming to SEMA 2012

The Ford F Series is always among the most popular vehicles at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas and 2012 should be no different with today bringing us our first look at a trio of the pickups that will be in the massive Ford Motor Company display.

For the three heavily modified Ford F Series trucks shown in the artwork on the right, FoMoCo has teamed up with three well known companies in the trucking world to produce some truly wild pickups – with two taking a “street truck” approach with a slammer stance and some monster wheels while the third is a built for serious off roading capabilities. As has been the case with all of the Ford SEMA teaser artwork, we don’t have a great many details on these trucks but the little info provided combined with what we can presume based on the pictures gives us just enough to want more.

First, we have the 2013 Ford F150 FX2 Sport built by Truckin Magazine (top right). Truckin Magazine wanted to design an F150 with “track like handling” and that began with a suspension package that lowered the body down around a set of large custom wheels. Behind those big rollers is a high performance big brake package that helps get the truck stopped while a luxurious interior appointments allow for more creature comforts…you know…when you’re on the track. On top of that, the truck in the artwork appears to have a unique hood, front fascia, exterior mirrors in addition to the unique paint and stripe package.

Next is another Ford F150 FX2 Sport but this Super Cab pickup has been slammed to the ground for the ultimate street truck look by the folks from K-Daddy Kustomz (bottom right). In addition to the bright red monochromatic paint complete with flames running the length of the vehicle, this 5.0L powered pickup packs 24” wheels, a chromed out undercarriage, a supercharger for the V8 engine and a high performance Rockford Fosgate sound system. Not mentioned in the brief bit of information but appearing in the artwork is a unique front fascia and grille treatment, a big brake package and the suspension components needed to tuck this truck down over those huge wheels. There is also a motorcycle in the bed so this truck could have a modified bed to allow for easier loading and unloading of said motorcycle.

Last yet most certainly not least is the 2013 Ford F250 XLT built by Kelderman Air Suspension Systems (left side). This black and green monster has been lifted to the sky thanks to a lift package that adds between 8 and 10 inches of lift compared to the stock suspension setup. These components have all been painted, chrome plated or powder coated either lime green or matte black for that perfect show truck look while features like the rugged custom front bumper with an integrated winch and accessory lights, a rear light bar setup (in the bed) and massive off road wheels and tires allow this truck to go anywhere and look great doing it. Finally, the Kelderman F250 wears a matte black and lime green paint scheme familiar to those fans of the Monster Energy Drink complete with Monster logos all over the truck. Unlike the first two trucks that derive their power from the 5.0L V8, this truck packs the 6.7L PowerStroke diesel engine although there is no mention of performance upgrades for the big oil burner.

These trucks will make their formal public debut in less than a week at the 2012 SEMA Show in Las Vegas and TorqueNews will be on hand, bringing you all of the coolest vehicles and new products from the floor of the Vegas Convention Center!
