Corvette Owners Get a Rare Discount on a C7 Corvette Stingray

The Chevrolet Corvette is comfortably the bestselling premium performance car in America, but to help spur sales heading into the 2017 model year, General Motors is offering a rare – and surprisingly large – discount for those folks who currently own any generation Corvette.

The Chevrolet Corvette has been selling like hotcakes since it was introduced late in 2013, but sales through the first few months of 2016 are slower than they were during the same period in 2014 or 2015. Even though the Corvette is still dominating the premium performance car segment in the US, trailing only the Chevrolet Camaro, the Ford Mustang and the Dodge Challenger when it comes to the whole sporty car segment, General Motors is looking to boost Vette sales as we lead into the summer – and into the 2017 model year.

2017 will bring about the arrival of the new Corvette Grand Sport along with any minor model year changes – all of which will bring a rush of buyers for the new model year. Even though the 2016 models are selling well, inventory has piled up a bit around the country, so GM has rolled out this unique loyalty program to help trim down inventory numbers ahead of the start of 2017 deliveries.

Corvette Discount for Corvette Owners
According to the folks at Cars Direct, Chevrolet has a Corvette loyalty special running for the month of May where anyone who owns or leases a Chevrolet Corvette can get a $2,000 discount on the purchase of a 2016 Corvette. Those folks don’t need to trade in their current Corvette – they will just get a voucher for $2,000 off of a 2016 model simply for owning an older Corvette.

Best of all, you don’t need to own another C7 or a C6 to get the $2,000 loyalty discount on a 2016 Corvette. Literally anyone who owns a Corvette from the original 1953 model through the current model year can take advantage of this discount program, so whether you drive a cherry 1953 Corvette or you race a pro-mod C3 Corvette – you can grab up a $2,000 discount on a 2016 Corvette.

The “bad news” is that this loyalty discount program is only available on the 2016 Corvette Stingray with or without the Z51 package in coupe or convertible form – meaning that you cannot use this $2,000 to lower the price of the Corvette Z06. However, if you do apply to the Corvette loyalty program, this discount can be coupled with other applicable discounts, such as the employee discount program.

Again, this program is only good for May, so if you own an older Chevrolet Corvette and you have been waiting to buy a C7 Stingray – right now might be your best chance to get the new Chevy sports car for the lowest price possible.
