Alyssa Milano orders Chevrolet Volt, Nissan Leaf to avoid gas usage

Former Who’s the Boss hottie Alyssa Milano is showing her support for Mother Nature by buying a new-age electric car but since she wasn’t able to pick between the 2011 Chevrolet Volt and the 2011 Nissan Leaf – she bought them both.

Alyssa Milano and husband David Bugliari (right…who?) recently spoke with Celebrity Baby Scoop and during the interview, Milano mentioned that she is working to make the world better for her children – in part by purchasing the emission free Leaf and Volt. She went on to explain that after she saw the devastation caused by BP in the Gulf, she decided that she never wanted her kids to see her pumping gas at a gas station. While this may smack of an elitist attitude, Milano and Bugliari purchased a 2011 Chevrolet Volt for him and a 2011 Nissan Leaf for her. Evidently, Milano doesn’t need to travel far beyond the range of the all-electric Leaf and husband Bugliari, who works as a Hollywood agent, will rely upon the gasoline-extended range of the 2011 Chevy Volt. The article didn’t say who would be pumping the gas in to the Volt when Milano’s hubby runs it low but in any case, Milano is the first “non-car guy” to score up one of these cutting edge electric cars; let along both of them.

Alyssa Milano’s purchase of the 2011 Chevy Volt and Nissan Leaf are not her first attempt at saving the world, as she has 5 dogs and 10 horses, many of which are rescues and she is a vegetarian. Also, the gorgeous actress has worked as a goodwill ambassador with UNICEF, traveling around the world to assist with various relief efforts in Angora, Africa and India.

A special thanks to Donnie for the heads up and don’t worry, we won’t ask why you were reading Celebrity Baby Scoop.
