The 2013 Cadillac ATS build page is live - sans the pricing

The preliminary build page for the 2013 Cadillac ATS compact sport sedan is live on Cadillac.com, offering prospective buyers a chance to scope out the different options and packages available on the new BMW 3-Series fight but sadly…prices are not yet included.

The 2013 Cadillac ATS configurator begins with your choice of either rear wheel drive or all wheel drive (ATS4) with 9 trimlines for the rear drive models and 7 choices for the ATS4.

2013 Cadillac ATS 2.5L

The entry level trimline for the 2013 Cadillac ATS rear wheel drive sport sedan is the 2.5L Standard model which comes with the 2.5L 4-cylinder engine with 202 horsepower and a 6-speed automatic transmission. This package includes independent sport suspension, 4 wheel antilock disc brakes, 17” painted aluminum wheels, driver and front passenger 6-way power seats, keyless ignition, push button start, dual zone automatic climate control, a 5.7” driver information center, Bluetooth connectivity, and a premium sound system featuring Bose speakers. The 2013 Cadillac ATS 2.5L Standard is available in 10 exterior colors - Radiant Silver Metallic, Black Raven, Crystal Red Tintcoat, White Diamond Tricoat, Thunder Gray ChromaFlair, Black Diamond Tricoat, Opulent Blue Metallic, Glacier Blue Metallic, Silver Coast Metallic, and Summer Gold Metallic. There are two interior trim options for all colors except for Crystal Red Tintcoat and Opulent Blue Metallic; Jet Black leatherette with “oil rubbed bronze appearance trim” or Caramel leatherette with Jet Black accents and the same bronze trim. Crystal Red Tintcoat and Opulent Blue Metallic ATS sedans are only available with the Jet Black layout. Once you have picked your interior and exterior color, ATS 2.5L Standard buyers can pick between their choice of painted or high gloss polished (chrome-like) 17” aluminum wheels. Finally, buyers of the base model ATS can add an advanced security system, a power sunroof, heated front seats, and the Cadillac User Experience (CUE) system for an additional price.

Those who want their 2.5L-powered 2013 Cadillac ATS to be a little more opulent, there is the 2.5L Luxury package. This builds on the Standard model and adds an 8” color touch screen with the CUE system, voice recognition and a rear view camera, leather seats front and rear, 8-way adjustable controls for the front seats with memory, exterior mirrors with an integrated turn signal and puddle lamps, front and rear park assist, adaptive remote start, passive entry, a unique grille with “Midnight Chrome” accepts 17” polished wheels and run flat tires. Exterior color options remain the same as the Standard models but in addition to real leather surfaces, the Jet Black and Caramel interior options are joined by Light Platinum with Jet Black accents, Light Platinum with Brownstone accents and a Morello Red interior trim with Jet Black accents that I love.

2013 Cadillac ATS 2.0L Turbo
If you are a prospective 2013 Cadillac ATS buyer who is more worried about performance, the 2.0L Turbo Standard includes all of the standard features of the ATS 2.5L Standard but the turbocharged 4-cylinder engine churns out 272 horsepower to the rear wheels via a 6-speed Tremec manual transmission (a 6-speed automatic transmission is optional). The 2013 ATS 2.0L Standard also includes a ZF premium steering system and high performance Brembo front brakes. The 2.0L Turbo Standard comes with the same exterior colors and interior options as the 2.5L Standard models.

Those who want the 272hp turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and the other go-fast goodies can opt for the 2013 Cadillac ATS 2.0L Turbo Luxury. This package adds the same features as the 2.5L Luxury – an 8” color touch screen with the CUE system, voice recognition and a rear view camera, leather seats front and rear, 8-way adjustable controls for the front seats with memory, exterior mirrors with an integrated turn signal and puddle lamps, front and rear park assist, adaptive remote start, passive entry, a unique grille with “Midnight Chrome” accepts 17” polished wheels and run flat tires. Also, the same 10 exterior colors from the other models and the four real leather trim options from the other Luxury model are available for the 2.0L Turbo Luxury.

For those who are after greater performance capabilities, the 2013 Cadillac ATS 2.0L Turbo Performance model could be the choice for you. This package builds on the 2.0L Turbo Luxury and adds HID headlights, CUE system with Bose surround sound speakers, a lane departure warning system , rain sensing wipers, the innovative safety alert seat, a rear thorax airbag, magnesium steering wheel mounted paddle shifters (automatic transmission only), aluminum sport pedals and premium 17” painted aluminum wheels. The exterior and interior color choices are the same for this model as it is for the Luxury models.

Next, the ultimately turbocharged package is the 2013 Cadillac ATS 2.0L Turbo Premium which builds on the 2.0L Turbo Performance but adds a full color customizable heads up display, CUE with navigation, a 60/40 rear seat, sports suspension with magnetic ride control, limited slip differential, a high capacity engine cooling system, 18” aluminum wheels and high performance summer fun flat tires. The exterior and interior color choices are the same for this model as it is for the Performance and Luxury models.

2013 Cadillac ATS 3.6L
The three top of the line rear drive models for the 2013 Cadillac ATS sport sedan are all powered by the 321 horsepower 3.6L V6 and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The ATS 3.6L models are available in Luxury, Performance and Premium trimlines with identical layouts to the similarly named trimlines with the 2.0L turbo motor.

2013 Cadillac ATS4
The other configuration for the 2013 Cadillac ATS sport sedan starts with all wheel drive and, unlike the rear wheel drive models, the ATS4 is only available with the 2.0L Turbo and 3.6L V6 engines. The 2013 ATS4 turbo models are available in Standard, Luxury, Performance and Premium while the 3.6L models are available in just Luxury, Performance and Premium. All other options are currently the same across the trimlines whether it is equipped with the rear and all wheel drive systems. Unfortunately, the 6-speed manual transmission is not available with the ATS4.

Keep in mind, this is only the first configurator so as time goes on, we can expect that some things could change on the 2013 Cadillac ATS build site. If nothing else, the website will at least have to add pricing before the car hits dealers later this year. My ideal 2013 ATS would be a rear drive model 2.0L Turbo Premium model in Opulent Blue Metallic with a Light Platinum with Jet Black accented interior.
